Movie Review: 'Trainwreck' a totally hilarious adult comedy!
The opening salvo of the the film "Trainwreck" will give you an idea on how twisted this film would be. The adult-comedy theme film made the preview room laughing from start until the end. A refreshing comedy about a single lady who writes for an unconventional magazine and her journey revolving in the arms of monogamy. Suddenly I remembered the humor of Unfinished Business while watching this film. The film is filled with unexpected twists and NSFW dialogues. Some of Amy’s (Schumer) lines are reminiscent of Melissa McCarthy in SPY and still it is uniquely effective.
Here are some of our thoughts on the film:
• John Cena's role in “Trainwreck” is totally different from how you usually see him. He was very effective in his serious but hysterically funny scenes. I must admit his towel scene was something I can still remember even now hahaha.
• Tilda Swinton (Diana) is almost unrecognizable in her role in this film. She is Amy's very stylish and heartless boss who is always ready to ridicule and make other feel inferior. This shows how versatile Tilda is as an actress shifting effortlessly into a new character distinct from her former roles.
• Surprisingly, LeBron also made a good impression in his comedic role as the best friend of Doctor Aaron Conners (Bill Hader) who is Amy's boyfriend. I enjoyed their coffee shop scene the most
• One of the best point of the film is that it balanced comedy and drama so perfectly that some of the situations in the film are relatable. The dramatic monologue of Amy in the funeral and her scenes with her sister (Brie Larson) are very heartwarming and touching.
• The perfectly imperfect characters and how they survived a trainwreck situation made this film a great adult-oriented comedy film.
In “Trainwreck,” it’s been drilled into Amy’s (Schumer) head since she was a little girl that monogamy isn’t realistic. Now a magazine writer, Amy lives by that credo—enjoying what she feels is an uninhibited life free from stifling, boring romantic commitment—but in actuality, she’s kind of in a rut. When she finds herself starting to fall for the subject of the new article she’s writing, a charming and successful sports doctor named Aaron Conners (Bill Hader), Amy starts to wonder if other grown-ups, including this guy who really seems to like her, might be on to something.

In the comedy, James is far too interested in Aaron’s life and his relationships. He’s always the doctor, following up and trying to understand why Aaron’s making certain decisions. Happy that Aaron has finally found a girlfriend, James is also extremely protective of his pal. Says the relatively new thespian: “Amy is a bit of a trainwreck, and she sends my best friend, Aaron, through a collision course mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. But you got to go through pitfalls in order to get what you want, and that’s the best part of this flick.”

Hits as varied as those he’s directed, like “Knocked Up” and “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” and those he’s produced, like “Superbad” and “Bridesmaids,” are all unified by their honest, unflinching, comic look at how complicated it is to grow up in the modern world.
