Nora Aunor to get Lifetime Achievement Award from Cinemanila

On November 11, 2011, the Cinemanila International Film Festival (CIFF) will honor the Philippine Cinema's pride, Ms. Nora Aunor, by giving the Lifetime Achievement Award as part of their tribute to the one and only Superstar. Nora Aunor, born Nora Cabaltera Villamayor, is best known for her portrayal as Elsa in the movie "Himala" (Miracle) was hailed as Viewer's Choice Award for the Best Film of all Time from the Asia-Pacific Region during the CNN Asia Pacific Screen Awards in 2008.

As part of Cinemanila's recognition to Ms. Nora Aunor, the CIFF will also screen some classic films of the Superstar (with English subtitles) which include "Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos" (1976), "Minsa'y Isang Gamu-Gamo" (1976), "Bona" (1980), and "Himala" (1982).

The Cinemanila International Film Festival 2011 is going to be held from November 11 to 17, 2011 at the Market! Market! Cinemas at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.
