"Dalaw" Full Movie Trailer, Cast, Plot Summary, and Information!
The Queen of Philippine Horror Movies, Kris Aquino is set to scare moviegoers anew in the hair-raising horror flick, Dalaw in the most-awaited Metro Manila Film Festival 2010.
Trivia: Did you know that before Kris Aquino became the Queen of Philippine Horror Movies, she was first known as the Massacre Queen? This is because of her portrayals in massacre movies during the 90s.
Anyway, Kris Aquino earned her current moniker because of her two blockbuster horror films, Feng Shui (2004) and Sukob (2006). Feng Shui is considered the highest grossing Filipino movie of 2004 while Sukob is currently the 3rd highest grossing local film of all time.
There are no official Dalaw plot summary or synopsis released yet but according to earlier reports and based on the official movie trailer, it is about a woman haunted by a creature or an entity called "Dalaw."
According to earlier reports, Kris Aquino will play the role of Stella, "a woman being framed for murders she didn’t commit, a woman fighting for the love and life of her child." However, it was also reported that the script has undergone revisions. In Kris Aquino's words, it has been revised eleven times already.
Kris Aquino also spilled that after the script was approved, they were auditioning for her daughter which role is very important to the movie. If you have seen the Dalaw movie trailer, you will notice she has no daughter. Is this a possible spoiler? *wink-wink*
Kris also gave hints on the role of Diether Ocampo. She said Diether is her husband in the movie. Her "evil husband. But, he's not really evil. Basta, surprise!"
Before the revisions, Dalaw was said to have four main characters: Kris Aquino, Diether Ocampo, Coco Martin and Mariel Rodriguez. What do you think happened first? Coco Martin and Mariel Rodriguez got out or the script was revised?
Anyway, Alessandra de Rossi took the role of Mariel Rodriguez. Valeria Concepcion was also said to be in the first casting and was not found later.
Dalaw now stars Kris Aquino, Diether Ocampo, Karylle, Empress, Maliksi Morales, Alessandra De Rossi, Susan Africa, Bernard Palanca, Ina Feleo, Lui Villaluz, Precious Lara Quigaman and Ms. Gina Pareno.
While watching the Dalaw movie trailer, I can feel goose bumps in my nape and thighs. You can tell that there are a lot of things that are going to happen in the movie that you don't know if you want to see or not because you know whatever it is, it will be scary. Horror movie lovers are surely in for a treat. Every shot in the trailer makes you wonder what happened.
It can also be noticed that the movie trailer only focused on the major characters that we barely saw the other casts. This means that there are really a lot in it that we haven't seen in this Dalaw movie trailer.
Dalaw is a co-production of Star Cinema, CineMedia and MJM Productions. Is one of Star Cinema's entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival along with "Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na 'To" and "RPG Metanoia" and will be showing on December 25, 2010.
