Star Cinema's latest movie offering, "I Do" tackles about the controversies of following a certain tradition, early pregnancy, getting married at a young age, and finding the right person for you. "I Do" stars Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales (EnRich) in their first-ever mainstream movie team-up from Star Cinema.

About the movie "I Do"


"I Do" is a romantic comedy movie and the first-ever on-screen movie team-up of one of today's hottest loveteams, Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales (EnRich) from Star Cinema. Their first ever movie team-up was the independent film "Paano Ko Sasabihin" from CinemaOne Originals. EnRich loveteam has been a very effective loveteam on television which were seen on ABS-CBN's primetime dramas Katorse, Tanging Yaman, and the currently showing top-rated drama program, Magkaribal, that is why Star Cinema is giving them their biggest break ever as a loveteam.

Dee mentioned in an interview before that they are pressured on what will be the outcome of their first-ever mainstream movie team-up of Erich Gonzales because in the movie "I Do", they will be the lead cast! They are not support cast anymore unlike in the recent movie of Enchong Dee, "Sa'yo Lamang" where he plays the younger brother of Bea Alonzo's character who lost his scholarship in school. On the other hand, "I Do" is also the first-ever movie of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up winner, Melai Cantiveros.

"I Do" summary/plot/synopsis


Mayumi (Erich Gonzales) is a girl with a happy disposition in life who dreams of meeting her "the one" someday. When she met Lance (Enchong Dee), a Chinese descendant, she knew he was "the one" she was waiting for, her faith and destiny. The two of them become lovers despite the unwillingness of their families to their love.

On day, an unexpected thing happened. Mayumi got pregnant and was forced to marry Lance. Although Mayumi liked it so much to become the bride of Lance, Lance on the other hand had doubts on Mayumi becoming his wife. Aside from that, their families are still not willing to marry both of them just because of a love child. Being a Chinese, Lance is obliged to marry also a girl of Chinese descendant to keep the Chinese blood tradition. Mayumi's family on the other hand felt they were betrayed because Lance promised to marry Mayumi because of their love child. Is marrying someone because of their baby worthy of saying "I do"?
