April 2010 Showing in Philippine Cinemas!

Well before Easter Sunday, the cinemas have already openned two of the most-awaited movies in the Philippines, Clash of the Titans and Babe, I Love You.

After the mall holidays during Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, moviegoers flock the theaters on a Black Saturday to watch Sam Worthington in Clash of the Titans 3D and Anne Curtis and Sam Milby in Babe, I Love You, both of which are available in cinemas nationwide. Both, of course, are included in our must-see movie list for the month of April.

Aside from these two big movies, the month of April is filled with other much-awaited movies like Iron Man 2, Shutter Island and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Five Must-See Movies of April

"Babe, I Love You" (April 3, 2010)

First, we must love our own. Babe, I Love You is the only Filipino movie in our watch list for the month (although some indie films may sprout during the month).

Babe, I Love You stars the love team of real-life ex-couples Anne Curtis and Sam Milby in a story of cat-and-dog relationship which turned into attraction. Will this attraction lead to love? Watch Babe, I Love You and find out.

"Clash of the Titans 3D" (April 3, 2010)

Sam Worthington transforms from a Na'vi avatar into a Greek demi-god Perseus in the remake of Clash of the Titans. I've seen the movie (yep, I watched it last Black Saturday!), and I'm still writing the movie review, but it will not be that positive.

But anyways, your opinion is as good as mine, so you may still like to watch Clash of the Titans 3D. It is about Perseus, the son of Zeus, and his adventures of saving mankind and the gods of Olympus from the revenge of Hades, the god of the underworld.

It's in 3D, so if you are a 3D fan, might as well check this out.

"Diary of a Wimpy Kid" (April 3, 2010)

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is at number five in the US box office last week. A commendable feat considering it is propped against How to Train Your Dragon and Alice in Wonderland. Its unique story and lovable character will lure you to see it in the theaters.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is an adaptation of a popular young adult novel series of the same title. It follows Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon), and his attempts to be the class favorite, but everything he does just pushes him further down the hole.

"Shutter Island" (April 14, 2010)

Warning: Shutter Island is a psychological thriller. So no matter how smart you are, be prepared to be tricked by the plot. I will not divulge what will happen in the end because it will just spoil the fun.

If you want to watch Shutter Island because you want to uncover the mystery of the island hospital, think again. The fun in watching Shutter Island is that you thought you know what to expect.

Shutter Island is about a US Marshall (Leonardo DiCaprio) who was assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient at a remote island hospital in Boston.

"Iron Man 2" (April 30, 2010)

Before the month of April closes, we will be entertained by one of the most beloved Marvel movie character, Tony Stark aka Iron Man.

Yes, he is back and he's got company. New inventions, new villains, new characters, more action!

In Iron Man 2, Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) tries to keep his Iron Man technology from government bodies. More to this, the past of the Stark family will haunt him. Will the Iron Man still be smart enough to resolve these issues? Click here to read more Iron Man 2 spoilers.
