Movie review: "Our Brand Is Crisis"

The movie "Our Brand Is Crisis" reminds us how Sandra Bullock can literally pull off a character with minimal effort due to her versatility as an actress. She can be a sultry character actress or a sexy comedienne without even trying. She's one of the most intelligent actresses in Hollywood when it comes to giving life to a character that they portray. Nevertheless, her acting prowess in "Our Brand Is Crisis" is undoubtedly one of her best performances when it comes to serious films as such.

Meanwhile, the movie "Our Brand Is Crisis" is a timely, politically-inspired movie, which may also capture the attention of candidates this coming election in the Philippines. We're pretty sure  campaign strategists in the country will rely on this movie for election-related campaign ideas.

The movie only confirms that politics is indeed full of dirty works and tactics just to win the election game. The entirety of the movie teaches us to think over and over again when it comes to choosing the right person to vote because of a political strategist such as "Calamity" Jane, who will only make the icing with sugary toppings on a candidate's cupcake, but not the whole cupcake itself.

Overall, the movie "Our Brand Is Crisis" is enjoyable and thought-provoking. An 8 out of 10 stars.
