MMFF 2015: 41st Metro Manila Film Festival Official Movie Entries


A few weeks ago, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) head and chairperson of the Metro Manila Film Festival Executive Committee, Atty. Francis Tolentino announced the list of the eight (8) official movie entries to the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2015). The eight official movie entries are composed of the usual actors and actresses who are patrons of the said film festival.

This year, on Christmas Day 2015, we will see the likes of Vic Sotto, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Kris Aquino, Vice Ganda, and Robin Padilla once again on the big screen. These film festival players will offer different genres of movies on Christmas Day with themes such as romantic-comedy, horror, historical, action-comedy, and love story.

This year's MMFF 2015 is the second time for actor Coco Martin, where he will play opposite Vice Ganda in the movie. Meanwhile, Japanese adult film actress Maria Ozawa was recently picked by Robin Padilla to co-star in a horror film with him. On the other hand, young stars like Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel, Jerome Ponce, Aljur Abrenica, Enzo Pineda, and Rayver Cruz will also offer their acting prowess in some of the entries to the MMFF 2015.

Below are the eight official entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 (MMFF 2015):

  1. Beauty and the Bestie (romantic-comedy) starring Vice Ganda and Coco Martin; Directed by Wenn Deramas
  2. Death and Senses (horror) starring Rayver Cruz and Jason Gainza; Directed by Randolph Longjas
  3. Haunted Mansion (horror) starring Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel, Jerome Ponce; Directed by Jun Lana
  4. Hermano Puli (historical biopic) starring Aljur Abrenica, Enzo Pineda, Allesandra de Rossi; Directed by Gil Portes
  5. Mr. and Mrs. Split (romantic comedy) starring Kris Aquino and Herbert Bautista; Directed by Antoinette Jadaone
  6. Nilalang (The Entity) (horror) Robin Padilla and Maria Ozawa; Directed by Pedring Lopez
  7. Rom-comin Mo Ako (romantic comedy) starring Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas; Directed by Jose Javier Reyes
  8. Walang Forever (romantic comedy) starring JM de Guzman and Jennylyn Mercado; Directed by Dan Villegas
Meanwhile, two movie entries are for reserve in case one or two movie entries back/s out at the last minute. They are:
  1.  Conman (action-suspense) starring John Lloyd Cruz and Meryll Soriano; Directed by Erik Matti
  2. Lakambini (love story) starring Lovi Poe; Directed by Jeffrey Jeturian

The 41st Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2015) official movie entries are scheduled to be shown on Christmas Day, December 25, 2015
