Movie review: "Kingsman: The Secret Service" - Unpredictable, Exciting and Action-packed
"Kingsman: The Secret Service" is a perfect concoction of wicked action scenes, clever stylish-espionage, and impressive visual effects. The fight scenes are at par with the merciless stunts of "Kill Bill" and "300", and the appeal of spy films like "James Bond" and "Bourne Series". A fascinating movie with sleek men in suits performing breathe-taking realistic stunts that would never fail to impress you from beginning to end.
Truly, "Kingsman: The Secret Service" is the perfect group post-Valentine film for everyone looking for an action-packed movie treat.
Matthew Vaughn, director of worldwide box-office hit “X-Men: First Class” and “Kick Ass” recruits a whole new ensemble of another first class in the “Kingsman: The Secret Service” starring Colin Firth, Michael Caine, Samuel L. Jackson and Mark Strong with a squad of young new trainees for non-stop action deployment headed by Taron Egerton, with Sofia Boutella, Sophie Cookson and Tom Prior. “Kingsman: The Secret Service” is based upon the acclaimed comic book from Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons that tells a story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined, but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.
The unpredictability of the film is one of its best feature. There are several scenes that would just take your breathe away. The R-16 ratings of the MTRCB is probably because of the bloodshed and wicked action stunts in the whole film. One of our favorite scene in the film is the scene in the church filled with people berserking like wild animals with Colin Firth.
Firth embarked on months of intensive training to get into peak condition for the all action role. He enlisted the help of his regular trainer, Ed Chow, and the hand picked specialists, led by stunt coordinator Allen, recruited by Vaughn for the film. “It was about six months, three hours a day,” he explains. “Three hours a day, every day with this extraordinary team of guys. I’m not an athlete, historically, at all. This was taking a man in his 50s and starting almost from scratch – not quite from scratch, because I’d done some fairly standard middle aged man’s maintenance, over the years with my trainer.

She’s a killing machine. “She’s called Gazelle because she’s in total control of her legs,” explains Sofia Boutella, who takes on the role. “Gazelle wears prosthetics that, when she’s fighting, unleash razor sharp blades, which makes her very dangerous.”

This had to have been one of the best over the top Spy movies I have ever seen. It was hilarious, the dialogue was amazing, the action and violence was over the top, & it was just an amazing concept!
ReplyDeleteKingsman is such a great fun action spy movie. I saw it twice at the theater. I just watched it again with Blu ray which looks better than in the theater with my Pioneer Kuro plasma. At the end of the movie, I was left with this wonderful feeling - that was really a fun enjoyable movie. Hope there will be a sequel.
