British Got Talent's Paul Potts Gets Real-Life Story in "One Chance" Movie


Around seven years ago, the first season of British Got Talent was aired in British television. This was also the first time the British people had a glimpse of a nobody who happens to sing an opera during the audition. That guy was Paul Potts, the first ever winner of the reality-competition British Got Talent in 2007. Seven years later, his story is retold on the big screen in this once-in-a-lifetime movie event, "One Chance."

"One Chance" is the remarkable and inspirational true story of Paul Potts, a shy, bullied shop assistant by day and an amateur opera singer by night. Paul became an instant YouTube phenomenon after being chosen by Simon Cowell for 'Britain's Got Talent.' Wowing audiences worldwide with his phenomenal voice, Paul went on to win 'Britain’s Got Talent' and the hearts of millions.

From the director of "The Devil Wears Prada," David Frankel, "One Chance" stars BAFTA winner James Corden as Paul Potts. The movie also stars Julie Walters, Mackenzie Crook, Colm Meaney, Jemima Rooper, Valeria Bilello, and rising star Alexandra Roach. Written by Justin Zackham, "One Chance" is produced by Simon Cowell and executive produced by Bob and Harvey Weinstein. ("One Chance" is also the title of Paul Potts' first album.)

"One Chance" is going to be released and distributed in the Philippines by Captive Cinema and is set to be released sometime in November 2014. The "One Chance" movie trailer is shown below.
