Movie Review: "How to Train Your Dragon 2" A sequel filled with new friends and surprises.

After years of waiting for the sequel to the most awaited animated film, "How To Train Your Dragon 2" will be hitting our local cinemas this week, June 11. The sequel is action-packed. The whole cinema was filled with excited and enjoyed audience for the whole time on the movie's press screening.

What I enjoyed about "How To Train Your Dragon 2" is that it kept the energy of the first movie while introducing new characters and twists to the plot. The animation was beyond imagination. The stunning scenes where stunts are being performed by Toothless and Hiccup were breathe-taking and memorable. I love how the picturesque landscapes and swarms of enchanting and proud dragons were presented as if they are shot from reality. The colors are vibrant and fresh. The plot contains a perfect mix of vigor, adventure, fun and a hint of drama that kids and kids at heart would definitely enjoy. You would probably catch yourself cheering Toothless in the climax of the film.

The setting of "How to Train Your Dragon 2" is a few years after the first film where the vikings and dragons are now living peacefully. The movie starts with  a cheering crowd in a sports stadium with flying dragons competing for the most number of sheep to put in their respective nets. The succeeding scenes will show you the development of your well-loved characters that are now adults in the sequel. The humorous scenes are complemented by the scenes that would truly touch your heart.

New character and dragons were added in this film. I love how they made all the main character shine in their particular scenes. There was definitely no dull moment in "How to Train Your Dragon 2". Every scene gives you something to look forward to and the end of the movie makes you crave for the last part of the trilogy.

“How To Train Your Dragon 2” is action-packed, moving and funny. Visually stunning, the 3D film is highly immersive with wondrous images of fantastic and realistic looking dragons soaring across the skies.  Watch what the riders have to say about their latest adventure here:

A DreamWorks Animation film, “How To Train Your Dragon 2” opens June 11 in cinemas (available in 2D, 3D and 4DX format) from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

Everything about the film from the unexpected twists in the plot to the vibrantly breathe-taking animation excites the mind and senses. Truly, a must see film in 3D for the young and young at heart!
