Movie Review: "The Other Woman" not your ordinary mistress story.

Hilarious, witty and unpredictable are just some of the words that popped into my head while watching "The Other Women" last night. The film writers effectively added fresh flavors and unconventional twists to the usual mistress plot. The whole theater was filled with laughter and there was never a dull moment in the film.

The story starts with sweet and romantic scenes of Carly (Cameron Diaz) and Mark (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). After discovering her boyfriend is married, Carly soon meets Kate, the wife (Leslie Mann) he's been cheating on. Carly and Kate developed an unusual friendship that helped discovering another of Mark's other woman, Amber (Kate Upton). Right after another affair is discovered, all three women team up to plot mutual revenge on the three-timing guy that they loved and brought them together (ironically).

I enjoyed the interplay of the different personalities of Carly, Kate and Amber. Carly was a very mature and professional lady, Kate is a loving and extreme-emotional wife, and Amber (Oh, Amber is just so amazingly hot! Two thumbs up for Kate Upton's beach scenes). The plot might be a little unrealistic but it was totally a wonderful viewing experience. I must commend the cute exaggerated acting of Leslie Mann portraying the wife that gave the film an added kick.

Nicki Minaj's cameo as Carly's assistant was well-placed and perfect. I hope that this is not the last time we see her in the big screen. She delivered her lines in a very witty and smart way. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's performance complements the power of the performance of his female counterparts. You will hate him in the movie and agree that he deserves everything that happened to him up to last blow. Taylor Kinney (Kate's brother in the film, Phil) has added the good guy next door feel for a movie that focuses on how bad a man can get in cheating.

I wouldn't post spoilers about the film because I would like you to experience every witty lines and unexpected scenes first-hand.
