From the makers of one of the most successful superhero franchises, the X-Men series, comes the next chapter to the much-awaited adventure of most celebrated superhero character in the Marvel Universe. "The Wolverine" is an upcoming film from 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios.

"The Wolverine" summary/plot/synopsis

Set a few years after the events from the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, "The Wolverine" takes us to Japan where Logan (played by Hugh Jackman) becomes vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits. Logan develops alliances and also faces a host of dangerous new enemies revealing a stronger, multi-dimensional character. In this unknown place of modern Japan, Logan faces his ultimate nemesis, Yukio, in a life-or-death situation that will forever change him. Also, Logan confronts his inner struggle against his own immortality.

“The Wolverine” is a stand-alone epic-action adventure where Logan will emerge more powerful than ever before, leaving him forever changed. Aside from Hugh Jackman who reprises his role as the iconic superhero character, "The Wolverine" also stars Tao Okamoto, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Rila Fukushima, Hiroyuki Sanada, Will Yun Lee, and Brian Tee, directed by James Mangold and scripted by Mark Bomback and Christopher McQuarrie.
