"Stoker" Movie Review

"Stoker" movie starring Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode, and Mia Wasikowska, is a display of visually-stunning moving picturesque and a parade of emotionally-disturbing events combined into one. Both the visuals and the emotions that were left after watching the film made a big impact to me, as if they were being tattooed on my mind. Surprisingly, the movie "Stoker" is very entertaining to watch --- the adrenaline, the stress, the suspense, the sympathy, the sound of bones being broken, the cold-blooded looks, and the innocence of each character among others were the things that got me hooked from the beginning of the film up to the ending of it. However, these "entertaining" things to watch are also the things that made you realize that you can only watch this film once. Watching it twice or more would be an emotional-torture, indeed!

Screenwriter and former "Prison Break" artist, Wentworth Miller did an amazing script. In a similar manner, acclaimed Korean director of "Oldboy" and first time to direct an all-English film, Park Chan-Wook, did a very amazing job too, in combining all the visual elements featured in the film. The ideas of Wentworth Miller in his script were captured by Mr. Park Chan-Wook so beautifully and so accurately, Miller's imagery of the film actually jived with the imagination Mr. Park has. Together, the movie became a workable masterpiece.

I really love how Mr. Park directed the film. All praises too to the actors and actresses who not just glamorized the film, but also gave the film superb acting performances for each character. The minimalist theme, feel, and look of the movie also gave the movie a dark idea which compels a characteristic more than that of an entangled mind.

The array of events shown in the film are just right. I highly praise and appreciate the outstanding editing of the film which helped the movie a remarkable storytelling of "hows" and "whys" featured in the film. Your two hours of watching is really worthy.

Outstanding performance, stunning visuals, remarkable acting performances, highly commended directing, script, and editing, mixed with disturbingly emotional impact are just the perfect combination for a psycho-thriller movie of the year! If you are into this, better watch this movie now! "Stoker" starring Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode, and Mia Wasikowska, script by Wentworth Miller, and directed by Park Chan-Wook, is now showing (March 1) in movie theaters, nationwide.
