"Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" Movie Trailer, Cast, and Information

Looks like Lovi Poe is determined to take away the crown title, Princess of Horror from Maja Salvador due to the former's horror movies that she has done in a short period of time. Last year, Lovi Poe topbilled the movie Aswang with Paulo Avelino as her leading man. A few months ago, Lovi Poe also topbilled the movie with a controversial movie poster, Guni-Guni. This time, she is not stopping yet because she is partnered with Dingdong Dantes in yet another horrifying tales from a Philippine folklore. Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles is set to give chills and awes at the same time in this one-of-its-kind movie made with a comic-esque feel, the same feeling that you can get if you have watched the movie 300, Watchmen or Sucker Punch.

About the Movie Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles

Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles is shot in a big chroma studio with set and props. As of this writing, it is the only Philippine movie of any kind and genre that uses this technology. Movies shot in big studios or sound stage with chroma give a feel to artificial environment. This kind of movie making was best seen in the Hollywood movies 300, Watchmen and Sucker Punch among others. Director Erik Matti perhaps also used the technique that director Zach Snyder have done in most of his movies--slow motion effect, moving live action comics feel, etc. Dingdong Dantes stars in this movie together with Lovi Poe. Four movie production outfits joined forces in making this film -- Reality Pictures, Agostodos Pictures, PostManila Mothership, and GMA Films -- to give life to this awesome epic tale of Aswang Hunters.
