2012 Golden Globe Awards Winners: The Descendants, The Artists

The winners of the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards have already been announced by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The Descendants won the Best Motion Picture, Drama while The Artist won the Best Motion Picture, Comedy/Musical.

The Descendants tackles the story of a father trying to reconnect with his two daughters after his wife suffers a boating accident. On the other hand, The Artist is a silent movie about a silent movie actor and deals with the fall of his career in the emergence of talking movies.

The 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards recognizes the best motion picture as well as television achievement for the year 2011. The Golden Globe Awards is considered one of the most prestigious award-giving bodies next to the Academy Awards, which is set to release their nominations on January 24, 2012 and will award its winners on February 26, 2012.
