Cinemalaya 2011 Movies Revealed!
The Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival (Cinemalaya Film Fest) is an annual event held during the month of July at the Cultural Center of the Philippines which aims to develop and promote quality Philippine independent films. This year, the Cinemalaya organizers have finally revealed the films and filmmakers included in this year's festival (Cinemalaya 2011). Included in this year's Cinemalaya Film Fest 2011 are nine full-length films, 10 short films, and four films under the Director's Showcase category. Below is a complete list of films included in the Cinemalaya Film Festival 2011:
New Breed Full-Length category:
• “Amok” by Lawrence Fajardo;
• “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” by Marlon Rivera and Chris Martinez;
• “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa” by Alemberg Ang and Alvin Yapan;
• “Bahay Bata” by Eduardo Roy Jr. and Jerome Zamora;
• “Cuchera” by Joseph Israel Laban;
• “I-Libings: Your Loss, Our Luck” by Rommel Sales;
• “Ligo na U, Lapit na Me” by Noel Ferrer, Jerry Gracio and Erick Salud;
• “Niño” by Loy Arceras; and
• “Teoriya” by Zurich Chan.
Short Feature category:
• “Debut” by Pamela Llanes Reyes;
• “Every Other Time” by Gino M. Santos;
• “Hanapbuhay” by Henry Frejas;
• “Hazard” by Mikhail Red;
• “Immanuel” by Gabriel Puyat;
• “Niño Bonito” by Rommel Tolentino;
• “Oliver’s Apartment” by Misha Balangue;
• “Samarito” by Rafael Santos;
