August 2010 showing in Philippine cinemas

I've just checked the stats and I saw that this segment of the MovieNews.Me is gaining popularity. Month after month, the "What's Showing in Philippine Cinemas?" posts are being read by more and more visitors. That is why I am very excited to present to you the movies showing in Philippine cinemas this August 2010!

Step Up 3D (August 11, 2010)

"Take the biggest step of all in 3D."

Step Up 3D is the third installment in the Step Up movie series. Step Up 3D picks up the story with Robert "Moose" Alexander III (Adam Sevani) from Step Up 2: The Streets when he went to college at the University of New York and tries to balance dancing, school and his time for his girl.

Step Up 3D takes a dance movie to a new level as it is released in 3D. But for those who think they will be getting headaches watching it in 3D, they can still catch Step Up 3D in a sharper 2D.

In Your Eyes (August 18, 2010)

"Is all the paid worth the joy love brings?"

In Your Eyes is a love triangle drama starring Richard Gutierrez, Anne Curtis and Claudine Barretto. The story revolves around two sisters who fell in love with the same man.

Will the elder sister sacrifice for her younger sister like she has done all her life? Will the younger ever forgive her elder sister for sleeping with her boyfriend? And who will the man choose to stay with?

Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (August 18, 2010)

"Just like real spies... only furrier."

This family movie which is also available in 3D is the sequel to the 2001 Cats & Dogs movie. The Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore seems to have the same storyline like the first movie, a cat's attempt for world domination, only enhanced with the latest technology.

It features voices from Chris O'Donnell, Christina Applegate and Bette Midler.

Mamarazzi (August 25, 2010)

Mamarazzi follows Eugene Domingo as a mother of the triplets, one AJ Perez and two Andi Eigenmann's. Eugene Domingo plays the role of a funeral parlor owner who is being pursued by his past lover Diether Ocampo.

Mamarazzi is Regal Film's offering for their 50th anniversary. It also stars John Lapuz and Carla Abellana.

Vampires Suck (August 25, 2010)

"From the guys who couldn't sit through another vampire movie."

Vampires Suck movie is a spin-off to the currently hip teen flick, vampire vs human vs wolf love affair, The Twilight Saga franchise by Stephanie Meyer, and some other films such as Alice in Wonderland and a whole lot more surprises.

After watching the trailer, though, we think the Vampires Suck movie lacks glitter.
