James Cameron Vs. ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow in Oscars 2010

Did you know that Oscar nominated directors James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow are an ex-couple?

Yup. We are looking at an ex-husband versus ex-wife battle come March 7, 2010 on the 82nd Academy Awards (see the Academy Awards nominees here).

James Cameron directed the top-grosser sci-fi fantasy movie Avatar while Kathryn Bigelow helmed the Iraq war thriller The Hurt Locker. Both movies tied for having the most nominations in the 82nd Academy Awards announced last February 2.

Reportedly, James Cameron left Kathryn Bigelow for his lead actress in The Terminator. However, they have been close since they're divorce and are happy with each others lives.

James Cameron won this year's Golden Globe Awards for Best Director in a Motion Picture. Kathryn Bigelow, on the other hand, took home Director's Guild of America statue.

Avatar has already grossed US $2 billion worldwide, while The Hurt Locker has only earn US $16 million.

Who will be Oscars 2010 Best Director?
