It's movie holiday season again in the Philippines and seven exciting films are ready to quench your moviegoing thirst.

We here at MovieNews give you the seven entries to the 35th Metro Manila Film Festival, the most-awaited movie festival in this side of the world.

Here are the seven 2009 MMFF entries to choose from in alphabetical order. In which film are you willing to spend your movie money on?


Ang Darling Kong Aswang

In this fantasy comedy movie, Victor (Vic Sotto) steps into the world of Aswangs, a clan of fierce, flying and fanged cannibals, when he met and instantly fall in love with Elisa (Cristine Reyes). But their love will be tested by a clan war between those Aswangs who eat human flesh and those who do not.

I Love You Goodbye

Four of the most sought-after actors and actresses dive into a complicated foursome love affair film from Star Cinema. Kim Chiu loves the Universal Leading Man Derek Ramsay, who loves his real-life girlfriend Angelica Panganiban, who decided to be with Gabby Concepcion, who is Kim Chiu's father. But who will they choose in the end?

Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love

The epic drama of the lives of Filipino-Chinese continues in the 6th installment of Mano Po, starring Ms. Sharon Cuneta, Christopher de Leon, ZsaZsa Padilla, Kris Aquino and Heart Evangelista. This masterpiece is directed by Joel Lamangan.

Nobody, Nobody but Juan

In this movie comeback of the King of Comedy, Dolphy plays the role of a senior citizen who can't get enough of Wowowee. We will soon discover that Juan, Dolphy's character, is not only watching Wowowee for the fun of it. He is actually willing to do everything to watch it for a deeper purpose, that is to find his long lost love.

Ang Panday (2009)

The selling point of this fantasy adventure movie is its awesome special effects. GMA Films and Imus Production brings Ang Panday epic up to a higher notch as Bong Revilla breathes life to Flavio and Philip Salvador as his nemesis Lizardo. It will have the original story of Ang Panday but this movie promises to present it like we've never seen it before.

Shake, Rattle and Roll 11

The horror continues in the 11th installment of Shake, Rattle and Roll. Three dreadful stories will haunt you in the midst of the yuletide season. A possessed object, a haunted camping, and a woman who become the host of the devil. However you want to be spooked, they've got it covered.

Wapakman

Manny Pacquiao will definitely beat any boxer with this comedy hero movie. He doesn't have to undergo a lot of training anymore because in this flick, Manny developed super powers. We don't know what super power yet but we can see he can fly. And then he fights powerpacked evildoers, too. Are you in for an odd Pinoy super hero movie?
